Equipment

  • air fryer
  • cutting board
  • knife
  • mixing bowl
  • tongs or spatula

Ingredients

  • 3 large Russet potatoes (cut into wedges)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  • Wash and cut the potatoes into evenly sized wedges.
  • Soak the wedges in cold water for 20–30 minutes to improve crispiness (optional).
  • Drain and pat the wedges completely dry using a towel.
  • Toss the wedges with oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
  • Cook for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through for even browning.
  • Remove when golden and crispy, then serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the wedges in cold water for 20–30 minutes and dry thoroughly before cooking. Avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure even cooking. You can customize flavors with spices like cayenne, rosemary, or smoked paprika.
