Equipment

  • kettle or saucepan
  • cup or mug
  • grater or knife
  • spoon
  • strainer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1-2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  • Warm the water until it is hot but not boiling.
  • Add freshly grated or sliced ginger to the warm water.
  • Let the mixture steep for 5–7 minutes to release the flavors.
  • Stir in fresh lemon juice to add brightness.
  • Add honey and mix well until fully dissolved.
  • Strain if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Use warm—not boiling—water to keep the flavor smooth. Always use fresh lemon juice for the best taste. Slice or grate fresh ginger for stronger flavor. Add honey after steeping to preserve its natural sweetness. Adjust lemon and honey to your preference.
