Equipment

  • saucepan
  • pitcher
  • spoon
  • kettle (optional)

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags (or green tea)
  • 2-3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2-3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4-6 ice cubes

Instructions

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil.
  • Add tea bags and let them steep for 4–5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool slightly.
  • Stir in sugar while the tea is still warm until fully dissolved.
  • Add fresh lemon juice and mix well.
  • Let the tea reach room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve over ice and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Do not overbrew the tea to avoid bitterness. Add sugar while the tea is still warm so it dissolves properly. Let the tea cool before adding lemon juice for better flavor balance. Chill before serving for the best taste.
