Equipment

  • Instant Pot pressure cooker
  • measuring cups
  • mixing spoon
  • serving bowls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 banana, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh berries (optional)

Instructions

  • Add the rolled oats, water, milk, and salt to the Instant Pot.
  • Stir everything gently to combine the ingredients evenly.
  • Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Allow the pressure to release naturally for about 10 minutes before opening the lid.
  • Open the lid carefully and stir the oatmeal well until creamy.
  • Add cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and your favorite toppings like banana slices, peanut butter, or berries before serving.

Notes

For creamier oatmeal, use half milk and half water. Allow natural pressure release for about 10 minutes for the best texture. Add toppings like banana slices, peanut butter, berries, maple syrup, chia seeds, or protein powder for extra flavor and nutrition. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheat with a splash of milk or water.
