Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples (any variety)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  • Peel and quarter apples, removing cores
  • **Instant Pot: Inner pot lined with natural bamboo steamer bag (optional to simplify cleanup)
  • Place apples, cinnamon stick, cloves, vanilla, allspice, cider vinegar, and water in pot
  • Lock lid, set to high pressure for 15 minutes
  • Allow pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release remaining pressure
  • Blend mixture until smooth using immersion blender or food processor
  • Store in sterilized jars (divided into 2-tablespoon servings)

Notes

For smoothest texture, strain through fine mesh after blending
Add cinnamon stick and cloves directly to infuse flavor like traditional slow-cooked versions
Can canning extra batches in sterilized jars for 1-year storage
