Equipment

  • small bowl or cup
  • whisk or frother
  • glass
  • spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 2-3 tbsp warm water
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1-2 tsp honey or sweetener (optional)
  • 4-6 ice cubes

Instructions

  • Sift the matcha powder into a bowl or cup to remove clumps.
  • Add 2–3 tablespoons of warm water and whisk until smooth and slightly frothy.
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour milk into the glass, filling about three-quarters full.
  • Pour the prepared matcha mixture over the milk.
  • Add honey or preferred sweetener if desired.
  • Stir well before drinking and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Sift matcha before mixing to avoid clumps. Always use warm (not boiling) water to preserve flavor. Adjust sweetness gradually and choose high-quality matcha for best results. Oat milk creates a creamier texture, while almond milk keeps it lighter.
