Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh strawberry slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Combine sugar with 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat gently until sugar dissolves; let cool
  • Blend strawberries until smooth; strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds
  • Mix cooled simple syrup with lemon juice and cold water
  • Stir well and serve over ice with fresh strawberry garnishes
  • For best results, chill pitcher in refrigerator before serving
