Equipment

  • saucepan or kettle
  • mixing bowl
  • spoon or whisk
  • measuring cups
  • refrigerator
  • mold or container

Ingredients

  • 500 ml brewed green tea
  • 7 g unflavored gelatin (about 1 tbsp)
  • 60 ml cold water (for blooming gelatin)
  • 1-2 tsp optional sweetener (honey, stevia, or maple syrup)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat water until hot but not boiling and steep green tea for 2–3 minutes to keep the flavor smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it sit for 3–5 minutes until softened.
  • Pour the warm green tea into the gelatin mixture and stir until completely dissolved.
  • Add optional sweetener or lemon juice and mix well to adjust flavor.
  • Pour the mixture into a container or molds and refrigerate for 2–3 hours until fully set.
  • Cut into cubes or serve directly from the container and enjoy chilled.

Notes

Avoid over-steeping the tea to prevent bitterness. Stir gelatin thoroughly to avoid lumps. You can add lemon juice for brightness or skip sweeteners for a cleaner taste. Chill for at least 2–3 hours for best texture.
