Equipment

  • pitcher
  • citrus juicer
  • mixing spoon
  • knife

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2-3/4 cup sugar or honey
  • 4-6 ice cubes

Instructions

  • Roll, cut, and squeeze fresh lemons to extract juice. Remove seeds and keep some pulp if desired.
  • Mix sugar with a small amount of warm water until fully dissolved, or prepare honey if using.
  • In a pitcher, combine lemon juice, water, and dissolved sweetener. Stir well.
  • Taste the lemonade and adjust by adding more water or sweetener if needed.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed lemons for the best flavor. Dissolve sugar in warm water before mixing to avoid graininess. Adjust sweetness and water ratio to taste. Chill before serving for a more refreshing drink.
