Ingredients

  • 12 chicken legs or thighs (drumsticks preferred)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 carrots, sliced (optional)
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped (optional)
  • 2 cups chicken broth (halal certified)

Instructions

  • Pat chicken dry with paper towels
  • Rub olive oil over chicken
  • Coat with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper
  • Place chicken in crockpot
  • Add carrots, celery, and broth (if using)
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours
  • Remove and let rest 5 minutes before serving
