  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)

Instructions

  • Pat beef dry and season with salt and pepper
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and brown beef on all sides
  • Transfer beef to crockpot
  • Add broth, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and remaining seasonings

Notes

Broccoli will soften but retain structure—add frozen florets for crisper results
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days
Freeze soup base (without broccoli) for up to 3 months
