Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 inch fresh ginger (sliced)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 lemon (sliced)
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil in a medium pot.
  • Add sliced ginger and cinnamon stick to the boiling water.
  • Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  • Add lemon slices during the last 2 minutes of simmering.
  • Strain the tea into cups and add honey if desired.
  • Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and benefits. You can add honey for sweetness, but keep it minimal. Simmer longer for a stronger taste, and let the tea rest a few minutes before drinking. Avoid overconsumption and enjoy 1–2 cups daily.
