Equipment

  • air fryer
  • mixing bowl
  • tongs
  • paper towels

Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken wings (split into flats and drumettes)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels and trim if needed.
  • Place wings in a bowl, add olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, then toss to coat evenly.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  • Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  • Cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  • Increase the temperature to 400°F (204°C) and cook for an additional 5–8 minutes until crispy.
  • Check that internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and let the wings rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, pat the wings completely dry and add a light sprinkle of baking powder. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. You can customize flavors with buffalo, BBQ, or garlic parmesan sauce after cooking.
