Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (sliced into cutlets)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • oil spray

Instructions

  • Slice chicken breasts into thin cutlets or pound them evenly. Pat dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned panko breadcrumbs.
  • Dredge each cutlet in flour, dip into eggs, then coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing firmly.
  • Let the breaded chicken rest for 5 minutes to help the coating stick.
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F and lightly spray the basket with oil.
  • Place chicken cutlets in a single layer, spray tops with oil, and cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Check internal temperature reaches 165°F, then rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use panko breadcrumbs for the crispiest texture. Let breaded chicken rest for 5 minutes before cooking to help coating stick. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. For variations, try adding parmesan, paprika, or chili flakes. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F before serving.
