Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh carrots (peeled and cut into sticks or baby carrots)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp paprika (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash, peel, and cut the carrots into evenly sized sticks, or use whole baby carrots.
  • Place the carrots in a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings like honey or garlic powder.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for a few minutes.
  • Arrange the carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket to allow proper airflow.
  • Cook at 380°F for 12–15 minutes (or up to 18 minutes for thicker or baby carrots), shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  • Remove once carrots are tender inside and slightly crispy on the edges. Serve immediately.

Notes

Cut carrots evenly for consistent cooking. Avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure crisp edges. Add honey for a sweeter glaze or garlic powder and paprika for extra flavor. Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days and reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–5 minutes.
