Ingredients

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tsp dried butterfly pea flowers
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1 tsp honey or natural sweetener (optional)

Instructions

  • Bring 1–2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
  • Add dried butterfly pea flowers to a cup or teapot and pour hot water over them.
  • Let the mixture steep for 5–7 minutes until the water turns deep blue.
  • Strain the liquid to remove the flowers if needed.
  • Add fresh lemon or lime juice and watch the color change from blue to purple.
  • Add honey if desired, then serve warm or over ice.

Notes
