Equipment

  • air fryer
  • fork for poking holes
  • tongs for handling hot potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2-4 sweet potatoes (medium-sized)
  • 1 tsp oil (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the sweet potatoes thoroughly to remove dirt and moisture.
  • Poke holes all over each potato using a fork to allow steam to escape.
  • Lightly coat the potatoes with oil and sprinkle with salt if desired.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F and place the potatoes in the basket with space between each one.
  • Cook for 35–45 minutes depending on size, without overcrowding.
  • Check doneness by inserting a fork. If it slides in easily, the potatoes are ready to serve.

Notes

For best results, choose medium-sized sweet potatoes of similar size for even cooking. Do not overcrowd the basket to allow proper airflow. Optional oil and salt improve skin texture. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days and reheat at 350°F for 5–10 minutes.
