Equipment

  • air fryer
  • skillet
  • mixing spoon
  • knife
  • cutting board

Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F for 3 minutes.
  • Slice the tops off the bell peppers and carefully remove the seeds and membranes.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef with chopped onion and garlic until fully browned and cooked through.
  • Add the cooked rice, tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning to the beef mixture and stir well.
  • Fill each bell pepper generously with the prepared filling while leaving a little space at the top.
  • Place the stuffed peppers upright inside the air fryer basket with small gaps between them for airflow.
  • Cook the stuffed peppers at 360°F for 12 to 15 minutes until the peppers become tender.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese during the final 2 minutes of cooking so it melts evenly.
  • Let the stuffed peppers rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use evenly sized peppers for balanced cooking. Pre-cook the rice and brown the meat before stuffing for the best texture. Avoid packing the filling too tightly so heat can circulate evenly. Add cheese during the final few minutes of cooking to keep it melted without overcooking.
