Equipment

  • air fryer
  • mixing bowl or zip bag
  • tongs
  • cutting board
  • sharp knife
  • meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb London broil (top round or flank steak)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Place the London broil in a bowl or bag and add olive oil, soy sauce, vinegar or lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2–4 hours.
  • Remove the steak from the refrigerator about 20 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3–5 minutes.
  • Place the steak in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding.
  • Cook for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until desired doneness is reached.
  • Remove the steak and let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice thinly against the grain and serve.

Notes

For best results, marinate the meat for at least 2–4 hours to improve tenderness. Always slice against the grain to avoid chewiness. Use a meat thermometer to prevent overcooking. Let the meat rest before slicing to retain juices.
