Equipment

  • air fryer
  • tongs
  • basting brush
  • meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • garlic powder (optional)
  • paprika (optional)
  • lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 390°F for 3–5 minutes.
  • Place frozen salmon fillets in the basket skin-side down, leaving space between them.
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes to slightly thaw the surface.
  • Remove basket, brush salmon with olive oil, and season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  • Return to air fryer and cook for another 5–8 minutes until salmon flakes easily.
  • Check that internal temperature reaches 145°F, then rest briefly before serving.

Notes

For best results, do not skip preheating. Season after the initial cook so spices stick better. Add lemon juice after cooking for fresh flavor. Adjust cook time depending on thickness. Let salmon rest 2 minutes before serving.
