Ingredients

  • 500 g white fish (cod or tilapia), cut into strips
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or yogurt
  • 1 lime (cut into wedges)

Instructions

  • Pat the fish dry and cut into even strips for even cooking.
  • Season the fish with paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat each piece lightly in breadcrumbs to create a thin, even layer.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F and place fish in a single layer without overcrowding.
  • Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and flaky.
  • Mix cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, and mayo or yogurt to make the slaw.
  • Warm the tortillas and assemble tacos with fish, slaw, and optional toppings.
  • Serve immediately with lime wedges for best flavor and texture.

Notes

Pat the fish dry before coating for maximum crispiness. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. For variation, try spicy seasoning, mango salsa, or lettuce wraps for a low-carb option. Assemble tacos just before serving to keep texture fresh.
