Equipment

  • air fryer
  • paper towels
  • basting brush
  • tongs

Ingredients

  • 2 cod fillets (fresh or thawed)
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F for 3–5 minutes.
  • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Brush the fillets lightly with olive oil on both sides.
  • Season both sides evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Place the fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding.
  • Cook for 8–10 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.

Notes

Pat the cod completely dry before seasoning to ensure a better texture. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket so the fish cooks evenly. Thicker fillets may require an extra 1–2 minutes. You can add panko breadcrumbs for a crispier version or keep it simple without breading for a lighter meal. Serve with lemon wedges for extra freshness.
