Equipment

  • air fryer
  • mixing bowl
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • spatula or tongs

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold), diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp dried herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly, then cut them into evenly sized cubes about ½ to 1 inch.
  • Place the potatoes in a bowl. Add oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until evenly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  • Add the potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding.
  • Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  • Check for crispiness and cook an additional 2–3 minutes if needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

Cut potatoes evenly for best results. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure crispiness. Shake halfway through cooking. For extra crisp texture, soak potatoes for 15–30 minutes and dry thoroughly before cooking. Adjust seasoning to taste or add herbs and spices for variation.
